vivo launched their ads across Metro Manila, posing the question, “Ready to own your masterpiece?”

The new billboards feature images showcasing everyday-life scenes. It also highlights masterpieces in the ordinary. These include several shots, from the Philippine national flag to a candid photo of a kalesa rider, to people passing through a city bridge.

Meanwhile, aside from the booming headline, the vivo ads also include a teaser statement saying, “a technological work of art for professional imaging is coming to the Philippines.”

vivo also announced that it would be giving away prizes for those who will be able to spot and take a selfie with these billboards.

Consumers can send their entries from May 31 to June 7.

Those who will take a snapshot with one or two locations may win vivo merchandise.

Meanwhile, those who can catch all three billboard locations will be eligible to win tickets to the Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival. Five winners of the said grand prize and the consolation prize winners will be announced on June 8.

vivo has recently launched their newest gaming smartphone that won’t break the bank and it’s the vivo T series. The smartphone is set to elevate the gaming experience of very Filipinos as the vivo T1 5G and the vivo T1x features a hardware that is made for gamers.

With the rise of competitive mobile games such as Mobile Legends, Call of Duty, and PUBG Mobile, it’s very essential to have a smartphone that can really give you an advantage to these games and with the vivo T series smartphones, I’m pretty sure that Filipino gamers can now enjoy the premium gaming experience at at mid-range price points.

With gamers in mind, the vivo T1 5G features a Snapdragon 778 5G chipset along with 6.44-inch AMOLED Fullsense display and a 90Hz refresh rate to out your the A-game. This means that  you’ll have a smoother experience with the smartphone.

Thankfully, the vivo T1 5G comes with a 4700mAh battery and it comes with 66W FlashCharge technology that can charge the smartphone up to 50% in just 18 minutes and then there’s the 18W FlashCharge on the vivo T1x with a 5000mAh battery.

Cooling isn’t a problem too as the vivo T1 5G comes with a a 32,923mm² cooling area and 2,097mm² industry-leading vapor chamber while the vivo T1x comes with vivo Energy Guardian that can help reduce the heating and deliver a top-notch experience.

For the other hardware, the vivo T1 5G comes with a 128GB large memory and up to 8GB RAM and an additional 4GB from its ROM and the T1x can get an extra RAM of up to 1GB.

Vivo T1x Unboxing and First Impressions

When we hear the vivo brand, the first thing that comes into our mind is that the smartphone is made for selfies or for vloggers but not anymore as there’s a brand new smartphone series from the brand and it’s for us gamers and it’s the vivo T series and we got one the most affordable in the series — the vivo T1x. So what do I think about it? Check it out in our unboxing and first impressions below.

Inside the box

The vivo T1x does have a clean white box and the one that we got for review comes in 4GB of RAM and also 64GB of internal storage. Inside the box, we got everything that we need, of course we got the smartphone and also there’s the jelly case inside the box as well. For the charger, the smartphone comes with 18W of charger and also a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Design

For the design of the smartphone, the vivo T1x comes with a frosted look at the back which not only minimizes the fingerprints at the back of the smartphone but it also adds some premium into the look of the smartphone.

There’s a flat back and also a flat frame as well which might not be too handy for some hands but in my case, I find it just fine as the weight and the materials used in the smartphone isn’t heavy or stressful to my hands which is very important for gamers.

On the side, the smartphone features a fingerprint scanner and also a volume rocker and below, there’s the USB-C port along with the speaker grill and also the headphone jack. I was happy to see that there’s the headphone jack on this smartphone since this one is still in the affordable segment

Display

For the display of the smartphone there’s the fairly large 6.58-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. That might give you a better look at the display when it comes to gaming and also for watching movies and honestly, I wouldn’t care about 90hz display here if it isn’t AMOLED.

Camera

For the camera, the smartphone features a 50MP + 2MP + 2MP camera setup while for the front camera, the smartphone features an 8MP selfie camera and overall, the quality that we got is what we can expect from a smartphone at its price range. It’s definitely not the best but it will do its job for everyday usage.

Software and performance

For the software of the smartphone, this one comes with FunTouch OS 12 and everything was smooth and the colors of the UI are easy on the eyes and it’s very user-friendly so I really had no problems with it. As for the performance, we got here a Snapdragon 680 processor which is new but it’s decent enough and capable to run most games in the market, however, don’t expect the highest settings on this one.

And for its price, I was actually surprise that vivo has managed to bring in some competition to the affordable smartphone market with this chip as this one will bring a lot of improvements when it comes to playing the latest games including Ni No Kuni and even Genshin Impact

Verdict

Overall, I’m really happy that vivo has finally made a smartphone that is made for users who are looking for the best performance for its price. So far, I’m enjoying what I got from the smartphone as it features a powerful performance inside and a decent design outside.

The Windows handheld space is getting hot lately as AYANEO, the company behind these successful handheld devices, has just announced the AYANEO Air. It’s their newest Windows Handheld device and damn, the pricing is really interesting and it’s pretty powerful enough for your daily mobile Windows gaming needs.

AYANEO AIR will come in different variants and it starts at $549 but all of them will come with AMD Ryzen 5 5560U processor inside. The affordable variant is the AYANEO Air Youth Edition that comes with a smaller 128GB memory capacity inside but this one also comes with a slower Dual Channel 8GB LPDDR4x 3200MHz RAM. The Youth Edition won’t feature a fingerprint scanner as well.

While the AYANEO Air comes with a faster Dual Channel 16GB LPDDR4X 4266MHz RAM and they come with an up to 512GB of memory inside.
