Huawei P40 Unboxing and Hands-On Video

Huawei has recently launched the P40 series and just like the previous generations, the smartphone series aims to be a game-changer in the camera smartphone segment as the Huawei P40 series introduces a large camera sensor inside and also a smart camera features thanks to its AI.

The Huawei P40 series comes in three variants: P40, P40 Pro, and the P40 Pro Plus. But all of them will run on the latest Kirin 990 5G chipset and also it will all have the powerful 50 MP Ultra Vision Camera for its main camera with 1/1.28-inch Ultra Vision Sensor. The Huawei P40 and the P40 Pro is coming to the Philippines really soon as Huawei Philippines has just announced the price and pre-order details of the two smartphones. The Huawei P40 series is a big leap in terms of camera for the series as the P40 series packs a better and larger camera sensor inside and of course, more features for the camera.

The Huawei P40 and the P40 Pro are priced at Php36,990 and Php 50,990 respectively which is a far lower price than the price introduced for Europe which happens normally for Huawei smartphones. Starting today, you may now pre-order the Huawei P40 series until April 24, 2020.

You may pre-order the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro at Lazada, Shopee, and MemoXpress and it will come with freebies worth up to Php12,285 including the Huawei Freebuds 3 and the Huawei Band 4. There will also be a 50GB Cloud space for 1 year, GCash voucher at Php 70, Php 50 worth of Paymaya credits, Php 100 discount in GMovies and a Booky Prime membership for for 3 months at Php 597. Final payment for purchases via Lazada must be settled from April 22 to 24

If you’re a fan of wearables, the Huawei X Gentle Monster Smart Glasses will also be on flash sale starting this May 27 up to April 3, 2020 with a price of Php20,990. The smart glasses will feature a dual semi-open speakers, call noise AI reduction and of course, a contactless wireless charging. As expected, this one would have a newer design.

Huawei launches the P40, P40 Pro, and the P40 Pro Plus

Huawei launches its newest smartphone series and it’s the Huawei P40 series. The smartphone is composed of the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, and the P40 Pro Plus. Both smartphones still pack a powerful camera inside that is co-engineered by Leica and each smartphone does pack a different camera setup.

First, let’s discuss all the things that we have in common in these three smartphones. All three smartphones will pack a Kirin 990 chipset inside which is similar to the one on the Huawei Mate 30 series but this time, the Huawei P40 Pro and the P40 Pro+ will sport a Kirin 990 5G

Not only that, but these three smartphones will also pack a dual-lens front-facing camera with a 32MP camera + IR camera for better bokeh and selfies. Now, let’s talk about smartphones.

Some of the cool features that we can expect on the Huawei P40 series is the Huawei Golden Snap in where the algorithm can recognize your posture and also expression to give you the best shot and then there’s the AI remove reflection in where you can remove the reflections on the glass whenever you’re shooting.

Aside from that, the Huawei P40 series will take advantage of the Huawei Mobile Services which means that the smartphones will not have Google services inside.

Huawei P40

The Huawei P40 is the smallest brother of them all as this one is sporting a 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. This smartphone features a Kirin 990 chipset with a RAM starting at 6GB up to 8GB and up to 256GB internal storage.

Inside the smartphone is a 50MP Ultra Vision Camera along with 16MP ultra wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the smartphone features a 32MP selfie camera and also an IR camera.

Huawei has also focused on different things about the smartphone. First, they have the 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor and not just that, the smartphone will also support 4-in-1 pixel binning. Not only that, the smartphone has also improved its lowlight capability and also its selfie camera.

The Huawei P40 Pro and the P40 Pro Plus does look similar to each other but they do have different camera setup at the back. There’s a 50MP ultra vision camera f/1.9 + 40MP Cine camera f/1.8 + 12MP SuperSensing Telephoto camera f/3.34 + 3D Depth sensing camera.

The Huawei P40 Pro is capable of shooting at 4K at 60fps too on both selfie and rear camera of the smartphone. Another cool feature here is that the Huawei P40 Pro is capable of shooting at 50x zoom with better details compared to the predecessor.

The Huawei P40 Pro Plus, however, this one packs a Penta camera that is comprised of 50MP ultra vision camera f/1.9 + 40MP Cine camera f/1.8 + 8MP SuperZoom camera 10x optical zoom f/4.4 + 8MP telephoto camera 3x optical zoom f/2.4 + 3D Depth Sensing Camera. And oh, the Huawei P40 Pro Plus will also be capable of zooming up to 100x with an optical zoom of up to 10x.

Both smartphones will also pack a 6.58-inch OLED Full HD+ with a 90Hz refresh rate. Not just that, because the smartphones will also come with rounded corners on all edges of the display of the smartphone.

Huawei P40 and P40 Pro specs and price leaks out

The announcement of the Huawei P40 series is just a day away but the known leakster, Roland Quandt has already posted on what we can expect from the Huawei P40 and the P40 Pro. First, both smartphones will run on Kirin 990 5G chipset similar to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro which is still one of the best in the market right now.

The Huawei P40 features a smaller 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. Compared to last year, we’re getting here a dual-lens selfie camera and of course, there’s the triple-lens rear camera on the smartphone. First, this one has a 50MP Ultravision camera and then there’s the 8MP telephoto sensor and also an ultra wide 16MP camera.

The smartphone will pack a 3800mAh battery and unfortunately, this one would only have a 22.5W fast charging. The smartphone will also feature an 8GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage.

While the Huawei P40 Pro is the better and larger brother. First, the smartphone features a 6.58-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and also a full HD+ resolution. Just like the Huawei P40, this one features a dual punch hole at the top left corner of the smartphone to give way to the 32MP selfie camera and 3D sensor.

The smartphone also features a RYYB sensor with 50MP UltraVision camera and OIS. The smartphone also features an Octa Phase Detection system with pixel binning. There’s also a new feature that is powered by AI in where you can pick a “golden snap” by shooting within the 1.7 second period.

The Huawei P40 Pro is also expected to sport an ISO up to 51,200 at the back and you’ll be able to shoot 4K on both front and the rear cameras of the smartphone. And oh, we still got here a 50x hybrid zoom on the smartphone.

The smartphone features a pretty good 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display and of course, there’s the quad-camera setup with the main 48MP camera. The Samsung Galaxy A31 doesn’t have a price yet and there’s no word regarding local availability of the smartphone.

realme Philippines rolls out online content series

Philippines, one of the biggest smartphone brands in the country is expressing its solidarity with the Filipinos in the fight against COVID-19 and to keep the realme fans occupied, realme Philippines will be rolling out different content series and online competitions.

realme Philippines wants you to be entertained and to stay indoors by providing three programs: realme SquadCast, realme MasterShot series, and the realme Mobile Legends Cup Season 3.

The realme Squadcast will discuss interesting topics every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM and for the first season, the realme Squadcast will have three episodes lined up:
